Dog Sled Tours
Coastal
Helicopter and a professional dog sledding company have teamed up for
this ultimate experience. You will be picked up at your cruise ship dock
and transported to the heliport where you will start this very special
adventure. On the way to the dog sled camp you will be flying over the
Juneau Ice Field. 
When
you arrive you will have a kennel tour and the dogsled ride. You will
be sharing this adventure with 80 Alaskan huskies and hear unique personal
accounts of the Iditarod, back country experiences and have an opportunity
to ask questions. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. The actual tour
is approximately 1.5 hours from lifting off at the heliport to return.
TRANSPORTATION: Coastal Helicopters will provide transportation to and from the downtown cruise ship docking area at no additional cost. Please add an additional 45 minutes in each direction.
PRICE: $429.00 per seat. Includes tax and transportation to and from the ship. Persons weighing 250 lbs. or more must purchase an additional 1/2 seat for safety reasons.
Total tour time: 3 hours.
Operating: May 15th– August 31st. Flight
times and routes may vary slightly due to weather or safety reasons.
Please dress warm and with water resistant coat, hat, gloves and footwear.
