Helicopter Tours
We offer three helicopter tours onto the Juneau Icefield.
Icefield Excursion
This tour is approximately 1 hour from the time it lifts off until it
returns to the heliport. Your helicopter flight will take you over the
spectacular rock formations and icefalls of the Juneau Ice field as it
heads toward either the Herbert, Taku, Lemon or Norris Glacier. The tour
will be narrated by either a custom CD or by the knowledgeable pilot/guide.
Upon reaching your destination your pilot/guide will shut down the helicopter
and escort you on an informative, relaxing walk while describing the
area that surrounds you.
TRANSPORTATION: Coastal Helicopters will provide transportation
to and from the downtown cruise ship docking area at no additional cost.
Please add an additional 45 minutes in each direction.
PRICE: $229.00 per Seat. Includes tax and transport to and from the ship. Persons weighing 250lbs or more must purchase an additional ½ seat for safety reasons.
Total tour time: 2.5 hours

Adventure Tour
The Adventure Tour is approximately 1.5 hours and takes you deep into
the 1500 sq. mile Juneau Ice field. You will be flying over the breathtaking
azure blue ice spires and deep crevasses. This tour is narrated either
by our custom CD or by your pilot/guide. The helicopter will make one
landing on a glacier where you will be able to step out onto spectacular
surroundings. Be sure to bring your camera, as you can be sure that every
picture will be a memory in the making. Your pilot will act as your guide
while describing your surroundings.

Dog Sledding Tour
Coastal
Helicopter and a professional dog sledding company have teamed up for
this ultimate experience. You will be picked up at your cruise ship dock
and transported to the heliport where you will start this very special
adventure. On the way to the dog sled camp you will be flying over the
Juneau Ice Field. 
When you arrive you will have a kennel tour and the
dogsled ride. You will be sharing this adventure with 80 Alaskan huskies
and hear unique personal accounts of the Iditarod, back country experiences
and have an opportunity to ask questions. Truly a once in a lifetime
experience. The actual tour is approximately 1.5 hours from lifting off
at the heliport to return.
